Jean Morris Trumbauer is a writer, educator, and consultant from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has loved the outdoors since she was a little girl. Throughout her adult life Trumbauer has spent weekends and vacations hiking and backpacking in mountains in the western United States and camping, canoeing, and hiking in and near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northeastern Minnesota. She and her chocolate Labrador, Kody, shared a cabin and outdoor adventures near the Boundary Waters and walked the length of the Superior Hiking Trail in the late summer and early autumn of 1995.
