E.B. Grayden was born in Duluth, Minnesota. He served with the Marines in the South Pacific during WW II. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Minnesota and a mater's degree from Hamline University. His career as an engineer led him to Don V. Hamilton Co., a sales/engineering firm, which became Grayden and Flemmer, Inc. He has three sons and four grandchildren.
