Galde Press Submission Guide :: Page 3

Illustrations Please include any illustrations, diagrams, or photographs that supplement your text. Photographs must be professional quality, high contrast. Please note the intended location for your illustrations, diagrams, or photographs. We accept no responsibility for lost materials.

If you are using illustrations or photographs from other published sources, you must obtain permission and suitable reproductions from the copyright holder. Photographs of museum pieces, even very old and famous ones, are not always “public domain,” as there may be photographic and property rights involved. As in the case of text quotations, you are responsible for obtaining all art clearances.

Editing Process If we decide to publish your manuscript and you agree to the terms of our contract, an editor will be assigned to the book. Galde Press reserves the right to edit all or part of the completed manuscript submitted by the author and to make the final decision in terms of editing. Editing is done for clarity, consistency, and overall technical correctness (punctuation, grammar, and stylistic points), all the while maintaining the author’s “voice” or unique way of presenting their information. The Chicago Manual of Style is the main reference book used. The intent of the editing process is ultimately to produce a book that does both the author and Galde Press proud.
